God of My HeartA Poem by Melinda McQueenThere once was a wasteland, Dry and void of plan. Lonely and dark, Craving a spark.
A desert plane With no hope to sustain. Feeling parched, God showed me His heart.
A plenteous wonderland, Filled with His grace. His heart plans My ability to withstand.
Fashioning me according to His good will, He keeps this spirit stilled. My forever start… God of my heart.
He brings restoration to my soul As He helps me grow. God of compassion, God of truth, With Him, there’s nothing I can’t do.
My love is His, And His love I cherish. I have found the spark… God of my heart. © 2015 Melinda McQueenReviews
