Pearl GirlA Poem by Melinda McQueenWith painted eyes, She has her world in her sights. Twirling in a solo dance, She awaits her chance.
Dreaming to become all she feels inside, She captures the light As she spins and twirls, For she’s a pearl girl.
About her slender neck A string of pearls rest. A prayer lies upon each, Ever within her reach.
Though her dream cup Has yet to be filled, she doesn’t give up. Her fingers touch each, giving her faith a whirl, For she’s a pearl girl.
Having been under tense pressure, This pearl will soon be made pure. For she knows That dreams makes her faith grow.
So, she smiles her smile in divine graces, Knowing that her rough places Are being made smooth in dramatic swirls, For she’s a pearl girl. © 2015 Melinda McQueenReviews
