Garden of TearsA Poem by Melinda McQueenThere was a girl Who lived in her own little world. A garden she planted, Taking not a wilted flower for granted.
She watered it every day, Nourishing in her own way. While the water was a need, She knew there was more to the seed.
For each day she came To sit in her garden and pray. Imagining each flower unfolding Was a dream bestowing.
She thought if she had enough faith, Her dreams would make haste. So, planting the desires she’s had through the years, She sewed into her garden of tears.
As she watered with faith, She began to see her garden take shape. For the flowers bloomed In their own truth.
Knowing her cries were heard, The fire inside continued to burn. Having no fear… She was growing in her garden of tears. © 2015 Melinda McQueen |
