Arise in Me

Easter poem

Thy glory shines

Throughout time.

Thy goodness shows

In all Thy grace bestows.

 

This is my prayer

I place into Thy care.

May Thy glory

Arise in me

 

Stir my heart

And light the unquenchable spark

That was meant to be Thine…

O Lord, search this heart of mine.

 

For I desire to be pure,

Only Thy mercy can cure

The longing deep…

Arise in me.

 

On the cross Thy love sealed my fate,

As Thou took my place.

Then, on the third day

The stone was rolled away.  

 

Forever will I glorify,

Forever will I lift Thy Name on High.

O Lord, until the Day I rise in Thee…

Arise in me.
