The Strength of Love

Light as air,

Floating on the current all its own.

Paying its own fair,

Dancing to its own song.

 

Most of the time

It gives no attention to worldly cares.

It refuses to hide

And often dares to dare.

 

Though the holder tries to suppress,

Its will is stronger still.

Even through the stress,

It remains just as true, just as real.

 

Heavy as a stone

That none could roll away…

Yet, it knows

It mustn’t be afraid.

 

Love has the ability

To be strengthened

In the face of adversity;

Its power only deepens.

 

Love sails through the highest sea

No matter the current.

Crouching on bended knee,

It is a perfect gent.

 

It cares not the circumstances,

It cares not the way.

It knows its chances,

And still it remains.

 

It finds you where you are

And goes beyond and above.

Dwelling in the heart

Is the strength of love.
