Frozen MemoriesA Poem by Melinda McQueenAlways there, In the back of my mind somewhere. A time of yesteryear Still so clear… so dear. A time I was so happy, I was complete.
Hidden within the folds of my spirit, Nothing could ever come near it.
A lifetime ago, Still I hold. Treasured moments invade My every day. My own love story In frozen memories.
Closing my eyes, My world still lies.
Beneath a shattered heart, They are ever a part. Welling up inside, Ever to reside. There are instances it’s like he’s near, As near as my tears.
Like a fierce wave, They take me under each day. There in my dreams… In my needs. He is ever in the heart of me. Frozen memories. © 2015 Melinda McQueenAuthor's Note
