Miracles of Every Day

Miracles of Every Day

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Birds fly,

Kids play.

Blue sky,

Trees sway.

The smiles, the laughter,

Joy and happiness.

The here and now, the after,

Times blessed.

Butterflies in flight,

Tulips in the wind.

Crickets at night,

An ear to lend.

The rising sun,

The new breath

Of a life begun.

The same sun going to bed.

Tears that wash pain away,

Faith to conquer fear.

Hope that sustains

Year after year.

Life in its riches,

Behold its glory in every way.

The heart cherishes

Miracles of every day.

Yes, these are all certainly miracles; a lovely way of telling about them.
