Touched By FaithA Poem by Melinda McQueenMoving along in the crowd, Forced back in voices loud. Wanting…. Needing to be near His grace, she feared. Knowing to touch Him would be all she needed, She fought and pleaded.
To give up wasn’t a plan, She had to keep moving -- taking a stand. She made it up in her mind To follow the great Divine. Desperate to touch Him, If but His garment’s hem.
Persisting to reach her King, She followed her Healer as her faith did cling. Though the crowd pushed and prodded through the way, Her eyes on Him stayed. She had to reach through faith Even though she could not see His face.
Then, suddenly, He turned to look, As the power within Him thunderously shook. For He had felt her faith, And her request He gave. It caused Him to turn His head As her soul He fed.
Jesus is touched by faith, And it unleashes His grace. I hope to ever follow Him So closely that my faith touches the hem Of His holiness. My Rock, my Fortress. Mark 5:24-34© 2015 Melinda McQueenReviews
