Love Holds

Love Holds

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

It moves along
As words in a song.
It gives peace
In a satisfying release.

The light shines
From the Divine.
Like a current finds
The distant shoreline.

Illuminating the darkness
Even in distress.
It fulfills a plan
Only it can.

Touching the soul.
It forever flows.
Knowing not where it goes,
Yet, strongly holds.

It nourishes the heart
Once it has its start.
Spreading forth its wings.
Of God it sings.

Love grows,
Love bestows.
Love shows,
Love holds.
