A Bird Without WingsA Poem by Melinda McQueenNeeding God's grace.Like an ocean without
a tide, A word without a
rhyme. Like a sun without
the shine, Or a branch without a
vine.
I desire You in my
heart, To ever be a vital part. For without Your
grace in all things, I’m a bird without
wings.
Like a name without a
face, A hug without a warm
embrace. Like a river without
a stream, Or a life without a
dream.
My soul cries out
Your Name, Who was sent to save A sinner like me -- A bird without wings.
Like a rainbow
without its colors, A sky without wonder.
Like a heart without
love, Or a spirit without
hope from above.
Because of Your mercy
and grace, I know my soul has a
forever place Where the angels
sing. And no longer will I
be a bird without wings. © 2014 Melinda McQueenReviews
