PerfectionA Poem by Melinda McQueenWhat is it?O the dire need for perfection To show a bit of affection. To be too big or too skinny Is the affliction of many.
Hair nicely laid, A beauty to never fade. To possess every quality That makes one feel pretty.
Have to be this, have to be that, In a world rag-tag. To be superior One looks at the exterior.
Then, you get over it. A inner fire lit, The truth you finally get, Once there’s a changed mindset.
Who cares what you look like? It's not about size. Who cares about stature? There’s much more to master!
The soul is in need, Having a spiritual plea. To share communion and love With the Savior above. …And that’s perfection! © 2014 Melinda McQueenReviews
