King of My Heart

King of My Heart

A Poem by Melinda McQueen
"

Loving Jesus.

"

Your mercy reaches

The innermost part of me.

Your love releases

And sets my spirit free.

I lay all my life in Your hands,

Let me feel Your comfort in times of dark.

Your Word ever stands,

King of my heart.

To You my soul sings

As Your Presence envelopes me.

Come Lord, my forever King,

For Your glory I long to see.

In You do I trust,

Ever with me from the start.

May my spirit hush,

King of my heart.

Shine in my life,

Let Your glory be known.

May I spread Your Light

Until every heart is Your home.

I worship You in truth,

For Your goodness never parts.

I love You,

King of my heart.

Thank you for your review.
Truly amazing . Its like reading a female version of King David's Psalm ..This is not just a poem but a worship piece. Expressing and acknowledging dependence on the Almighty.

He is not impressed with [does not delight in] the strength of a horse,
nor does he take pleasure in human might but the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. Psalm 147: 10-11
