O Little GrasshopperA Poem by Melinda McQueenIsaiah 40:22So tiny and low, Slowly crawling
along. You think you are all alone, Doing things on your
own.
O little grasshopper,
you feel so big, Even as the dirt you
dig. You roam the world, Seeking the biggest
pearl.
You believe only what
you see And rely on your own
meager strength. You desire power, Yet you cower.
O little grasshopper,
if you would simply look beyond yourself, You shall find your
sustaining help. For God who is strong
Will fill your heart
with song.
Seek the King -- your King, And to His glory you
shall sing. And make Him your pearl -- your sword.
O little grasshopper,
open your heart and let Christ in, And let Him show you just
how big He is. Crawl into the heart of the One who knows How to make you
whole. © 2014 Melinda McQueenReviews
