Randy's BlankieA Poem by Melinda McQueenThrough my nephew's eyes. It’s my cape When I want to be a super hero. It’s my shadow in the day, And with me when to sleep I go.
It’s my soft place When on the floor. A trail behind where my feet trace, My friend that helps me explore.
Wherever I tread. When I want to be silly I even wear it on my head.
It’s my safety net When I feel bad. It helps me feel secure, not just in bed But through each day to be had.
It’s my cuddle time with Mommy, (She gives great hugs by the way). My blankie so comfy, It’s always my stay.
It’s my nighttime pal When the day is done. With me without fail Until sleep comes. © 2014 Melinda McQueenReviews
