A Writer WritesA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe soul flows out.As a painter splatters a canvas, Colors in visual emotion are displayed. A singer sings its chorus, Hoping its melody does not fade.
As the dancer spins In tune to predestined moves, The actor’s lines are lent To convey a story in truth.
As a planter sews Faithful seeds... A designer shapes and prunes Fabric into what it’s meant to be.
Dreams come to play; Some drift with the tide, While others dare to stay. Yet, all share a purpose in the glorious ride.
The searcher of her own soul, The spilling forth of her essence. A vessel from which flows Her every wanting presence.
Short is her inner pen, But much is her spiritual ink. For it always sends To the paper more than she thinks.
As a heart feels, The eyes cry. As the spirit spills, A writer writes. © 2014 Melinda McQueenFeatured Review
