Few Dozen TearsA Poem by Melinda McQueenMissing someone.Falling like rain In the deep sea. Trickles fail to
refrain, Rather flow free.
The loss, the gain, The never-ending swirl. All is lost, yet remains
In the heart of this
girl.
Few dozen tears crowd, Feelings stay. My heart beats loud With memories at bay.
There, in a far-away
place They lie in abandon. Here, do they ever grace My heart’s pardon.
Few dozen tears come
calling When I think of you. My tears are falling Like an unyielding
waterfall surging through.
Missing what we shared What seems like a
thousand years... And still my heart is not spared A few dozen tears. © 2014 Melinda McQueenReviews
