Treasures in the HeartA Poem by Melinda McQueenMemories, they last.A place sensitive, A venue occupied. A valley which lives, A port which survives.
A surreal moment in time Grows into a memory fond. Ever there to find… Treasures in the heart are your bond.
What you hold dear Becomes the heartbeat of your life. Though years pass, the feelings are clear" Still very much alive.
Little things take shape And become lasting memories In which you forever intake. Treasures in the heart to ever keep.
Times long ago Fill the deepest part Of the longing soul, For they still live in the heart.
A ray of hope In times of dark. Treasures in the heart. © 2014 Melinda McQueen |
