The Christmas Window

The Christmas Window

A Poem by Melinda McQueen
"

Memories keep.

"

Looking out at the snow

With snowflakes falling,

She remembers with a certain woe

As memories come a calling.

She sees children playing,

Bundled up, throwing snowballs.

Nothing but fun weighing,

The Christmas window recalls.

A special view all her own,

Feeling the love of Christmas past.

Though now alone,

Her memories last.

With a heart wide open,

She remembers times of old.

Scenes of blissful joy never end,

The Christmas window has much to behold.

A window in time

Has a way in penetrating the heart.

Long lasting memories  in life

Catches and holds the brightest of stars.

Smiling,  she knows she’s found

Her internal glow.

For the heart calls out

The Christmas Window.
