The Savior To Be

A promise fulfilled.

The way to Thee

Has been provided.

The heavens were emptied

And the way was lighted.

 

Giving of Thyself

The ransom of many.

Thy greatest wealth,

The Savior to be.

 

Thy wisdom and truth

Unselfishly dethroned,

So that the most crimsoned sin would be removed,

Making right the wrong.

 

Thy Truth became flesh,

Thy Righteousness for all to see.

A baby born to bless --

The Savior to be.

 

To fulfill Thy Word,

The King of kings filled the earth.

Thy mercies are true, O Lord,

Shown in Thy Son’s birth.

 

All Thy love

Birthed for all to see.

Thy heart came down from above,

The Savior to be.
