Jesus, The Christ Was Born

Jesus, The Christ Was Born

A Poem by Melinda McQueen
"

The King has come!

"

It was time

For God to fulfill His promise.

The great Divine

Gave of His most cherished.

To void heaven of its glory,

O how merciful is our Lord.

To become our ultimate story,

Jesus, the Christ was born.

Having a plan set in stone,

He sent forth His Son "

Coming to atone

The sinners He would walk among.

Holiness wrapped in love,

In God’s grace this baby was adorned.

Giving more than enough,

Jesus, the Christ was born.

The Spirit became flesh

When the Lord of heaven came.

One star shone the brightest

When the Savior provided the way.

Bow down on bended knee

And worship Him forevermore.

Let us lift our voices and sing:

“Jesus, the Christ was born.”
