I wish I weren't so shy

Maybe then I could tell you why

I have reason to hide

The way I feel inside

But I can't, because I'm shy...

How much I love your smile

And how your existence 

Makes life more worthwhile

Without you I am incomplete

I feel an emptiness deep inside

And not being able to tell you these things

Makes me want to cry

I wish I wasn't an introvert

Afraid of every guy

That simply says hi

As I happen to be walking by

I'm shy

Without a reason

And don't understand

Why this has to be

I don't want to be shy

At least not in front of you

I want you to know who I truly am

And tell you every reason why

I feel the need to hide

But can't, because I'm too shy...

I just loved the 3rd stanza...it is actually sometimes difficult to express our love coz we really love someone so much that it becomes hard to tell and express..and is really frustrating sometimes..that why can't tell that to him/her...really nice one...

This is full of meaning and heart. It shows the inner struggles that people go through everyday. Just trying to understand makes it far harder to do so but you must seek understanding because what else is there to seek? I ways sjy around everyone even my own family till I was well in to school I never spoke to them and now I barely do still. I still any speak to people rarely. Never truely getting to know them I'm person. Being shy can be lonely but you must have a strong will. You seem like that is something you do have. Only times i talk alot is either you hit a topic i know alot about or if you started a topic I either think highly of or low of. I am still the dude the someone say hi to and i just say hi back then leaves. But do not stop trying the show the world who you are. Make it know your here if you feel like it can not see you.Yours truely a mad lord

I hope they read this some time, because you capture perfectly that feeling of your mouth unwilling to participate when you want and need it to the most. I was painfully shy and unnoticed into my teens, never knowing what to say because I didn't feel the need to participate, I was happy to observe. Then humour became my friend and people started to notice that it wasn't because I had nothing to say, it was because I hadn't found my own voice yet. Now you couldn't shut me up if you tried, because despite different reasons for our silence, when I found it, I knew that people had connected with what I said and understood that silence doesn't mean we have nothing to say. Personally speaking, I find shy people usually have the most interesting things to say, because they truly know the value of talking.

I ain't sure about much, but i'm sure you will find your voice. All it takes is the right place or setting and you will slowly notice little by little that your eyes move from your feet to the horizon. at least that was how it felt for me, I can even remember where I was, when and who with, it was that vivid. I haven't looked at a pavement since :)
