A fun poem

I was a monster,
Before I could stand
I was a killer
Before I was a man

Sleepless nights,
The restless baby did sleep,
Many tears he will shed,
For he, I would reap.

Sleep now dear child
For you shall cry many tears.
Do not be scared,
I am your only fear.

I creep and crawl,
Through your never ending mind,
While you lay there shaking,
The fear, I did find.

I am your greatest fear.
I am your boogeyman.
I haunt your dreams,
Like no mortal can.

Think of the sweetest things,
For my evilness has just begun,
The uncontrollable urge in you,
Try to forget me, with a gun.
