The Issues

               "Alright class, I want you to find a partner and think of Issue the environment is having. Discuses this topic with your partner and write down some ideas to help with it." he said taking his seat. I sighed and glanced at Slither and Mr. Hork spoke. "Ember, come here please." I blinked and stood up, walking over to him. "Yes?" He stood up and took me outside the class and closed the door.  "Do you know why I dont like you Ember?' He glared as I stepped back. "It's because you're not SUPPOSE TO KNOW!" I flinched as he shoved me against the wall. "I know what Slither is doing and I'm not having it. You will died soon Ember..." He snarled and threw me down. I sighed as he walked back into class. I slowly stood up trying not to cry as he wiped my tears with the sleeve of my jacket. I took my seat and Slither moved over to me and threw his arm around my shoulder. "I know what he did...' He whispered just so I could hear. "I'm very sorry... I should have -"It's... Fine. I'll be okay" I sighed starting to take some notes.

        When the bell rang I went to Slithers car and sat in his seat while he talked to Ashlee. I saw her flash me a glare before returning Slithers smile at her. They talked for a moment, throwing me sly glances. Mr. Hork cantered over to me and I froze. 'Hello Ember" I nodded holding back a scoff.  "Do you mind if I speak with you?" "Uh... No?" " You've know every well that If anything, anything about us gets out, even to Nat." He said quickly, blocking my view of Slither and Ashlee. I nodded once and he glare at me. My skin felt Ebullient and hot as he watched me. He left as Slither quickly came over to me. "Are you alright?" "Sure...." "I could smell you're nervous vibes from across the lot" He smiled. "Oh hahah!" I growled "I'm going for a walk..." I mumbled. He stared blankly as I walked away. "I went down to the dock and skipped a few rocks and sighed. I slowly walked home, the cold air sharp as it blew into my face, cutting my skin. I shivered and ran home. "Hey-" I ignored  my Aunt and went upstairs. "Ember! Are you okay?" She asked  panicked banging on my door. I locked it, sitting there. "I'm fine!" I yelled just so she could hear. "Are you sure?..." "Yes! Go away! I want my father!" "Ember... you're father isn't here.." "Leave me alone! Go home!!" I yelled, tears flooding my face. I was having an emotional break down then, I was stressed, terrified, unsure and above all depressed. I opened my door and shoved past my aunt. I ran downstairs and left the house. I knew she would call the cops but I just needed to calm down. I wiped my eye's tears still rolling down my face as I went to the old children's park. I sat on my old swing, my name still carved in it as i slowly pushed my self from the ground. I remembered when my father use to push me on the swing. I stopped shaking my head and looked around. I had no idea where I was after a moment, the park was to different them before and had changed. "Ember!" I turned to see Slither. "I was so worried... I couldn't find you at all...." He mumbled. I looked at the ground as he cantered over to me. "What happened?..." I stood up and shook my head, leaning against him. "Nothing.... i'm fine now." I smiled. He didn't understand I knew that, but he left it be and slid his arms around my waist and kissed my head.
