"Hork?..." "Slither why didn't you tell her what you truly are? would have saved me the trouble..." Slither crouched down slowly as I heard a deep,low snarl escape his chest. "Oh Hush up Slither" My heart was pounding loudly as I watched them.  Run Ember.  I hesitated as I heard his calm voice. "Leave her alone Hork. She's nothing you would want." "Yes she is, Her blood is special, more lustful... It sings to you, But it also sings to me." He grinned.Slither growled as he crouched lower. Mr. Hork did the same and I grabbed my stuff and Ran. I Stopped when I got home, ready to pass out. "Dad?..." I breathed as i noticed him in the kitchen. " Where were you?" "Umm....T-The woods..." I felt his hand slam across my face. "Your NOT aloud to go into the woods! Didn't you see the News?!" He yelled. His  eyes where cold and his face was hard. I moved back as I looked at him. "Dad.....where have you been?..." "Out" he grunted ashe went into the other room and turned on the Tv.  I sighed and went upstairs. Slither was leaning against my wall. "Slither!" I ran over and hugged him. "Hey!" He whispered before he looke at my face. He hissed and vanished as my Aunt walked in. "Ember, Your going to be staying with me for a while. Pack your things." She said before she closed my door. "Well.... Fun." Slither appeared again with a smile. "I'll see you at school." "No don't....go..." "Do you wish for me to stay?..." I nodded slowly as he smiled. He helped me pack and I left with my aunt. We got to her house and I threw my stuff on the floor. The door bell Rang and it was slither. "Umm Hello." "Hi... Is Ember here?" "Yes." "Oh hey Slith..." I smiled as he walked in. We went upstairs and I sat on my bed as he watched me. "So, what happened?..." "We talked.... He tried to hit me but I pulled away and attacked him before he ran off." "Oh... Okay" I sighed knowing I was going to face him at school tomorrow. Did  he tell Ashely? Was Slither hiding something from me? "No, I'm not hiding anything..." He sighed as he leaned against my window. " So what know? I mean.. is he gonna try and get to me?..." "I honestly don't know... But I have to go.... Ashley needs me." He turned and left my room. I sighed and lay'd on my side falling asleep.  "Ember come on! please!!!!" "No Nate!" I smirked watching her beg. "But I know you liked it! please! It was fun!. Plus I Slither would come" I closed my locker and sighed turning to look at Nat. "Ugh why the beach! It's to cold! " "Thats the point! I already know Seven people who are coming!" We walked into the cafeteria and I got pulled back form my waist and I turned to see slither. "Hey-" Our lips touched as I slowly moved mine with his before he pulled away. "You where saying?" Nat giggled in the background and I sighed. "Hello..." I mumbled feeling light headed. He gave me a cocky smile and went over to the food bar. I shook my head and turned to Nat. "Well?..." "I have things to do tonight so, I can't. Maybe another time okay?" She groaned and walked away. Slither came back with an apple and sat down next to me. "So what are you doing to night, sense you simply can't go the beach?" He grinned and I grimaced. "Hanging out with you." "oh?" "Yes, I wanna see you hunt." His smile quickly faded as he looked down at the table for a long moment. "No." "B-" "You're so careless Ember." He sighed and stood up. He walked over to his friend Demeter and they started talking. I sighed seeing I upset him and grabbed my bag and left. "So, Ember what are we gonna do for the 'Issue'. We need another story" Nat grumbled as he took are seats in Mr.Horks class. I saw him glare at me as I slid lower into my seat. " I don't know... Ask people there opinions on teachers and stuff." "...Thats not bad. Thats a great idea. Head story, 'The Scoop on the Teacher." She grinned as the the bell rang.
