The Other Side

"Hey Nat," Hey Ember!!!" She said as he hugged me. I saw a hint or satisfaction in her eyes.'So who else is here?"  She smiled as he turned to Slither. He was sitting on the edge of the pool with no s**t. "He has some muscles Em! But the the kind that take up to much....But HOT!" She squealed. I smirked and went to change. I came back in a Bikini top, jacket and Shorts. I sat on the edge of the pool with my feet in the hot tube part. Slither swam over to me and smiled. "Hi." 'Hey Angel." "So what is it you wanted to tell me?..." "Well your wondering How I became Like this and so forth., right?" I looked at my hands and nodded. He huffed as he started to think. "Mr.Hork actually changed me....It was the most painful time I've ever been through..." "How'd he do it?..." "He.... He made me drink some of his blood." I shivered and he took my hand. "I've been like this for....almost a hundred and six years...." He watched for my reaction and I sighed. "Oh...wow.... And what about Ashlee-" He sighed. "Are you going to let me tell the story for interrupt?" "Sorry.." " Ashlee was a girl I saw one day and I wanted her badly, But she was Nice to me and pretty... so I changed her to be with me But I found that she wasn't the same afterwards. I still want her blood but she was different... She started acting all snobby and stuff. So I've been moving around with my Family for years.... There Slayers also... So yeah....." "Oh...." "They wanna meet you" He smiled taking my hand. I squeezed his at the thought and then Nat, Megan and Ashlee jump into the water. They splashed Slither and I and he chuckled while I mumbled. He smiles and let one of his hands touch my face. I looked at  him while my heart was pounding loudly in my chest. I knew he could hear it with his senses. He chuckled slightly. "Be, very still..." He whispered in warning before he pressed his lips to mine. He moves his slowly with mine and then pulled away. "I have to go! I'll see you later.." He said franticly before he jumped  up and ran off. I Stared blankly trying to remember what happened. I sighed and saw Ashlee glaring coldly  at me.

           I got home to see my Aunt standing in the kitchen. "Ember!" She said in frantic as she hugged me. "Hello. Where's My dad?...." "He left.... He told me he was leaving and hung up so I wanted to see if you where Okay..." I sighed and went upstairs without speaking. I changed into my shorts and a T-shirt and went to see my Aunt. "Do you know where he Is?..." "Ummm Yeah he's just out for a drive, to calm down.... He'll Be back tomorrow morning." She sighed and just watched me for a moment. "Where were you?..." "Pool Party with Nat." "Oh. have fun?" "Yeah... I guess..." "oh. Well Are you hungry? I made some fried Fish for you. " she smiled giving me a plate. "Oh thanks. My favorite." I smiled seeing It's been a while. I haven't eaten for almost a day. I sighed and took my plate upstairs and set it on my bed. I came back and flinched. "Hello." Slither smiled as he was laying across my bed. "Hey..." I breath slowly as he walked over and sat on the end of my bed. I crossed my legs and put my plate on my lap. He chuckled and took my plate and started eating. "Hey! stop that!" I took my plate and he laughed. I shared the fish with him until it was gone and sighed. "Why are you here?.." "I wanted to visit you... I know you wanted to see me" He smiled. I nodded slowly and looked at my plate embarrassed. He smiled and took my hand. "Was that all you wanted to know?..." "No...If i became like you....would you feel the same about me?..." I mumbled. He lifted my chin with ease and kisses me. This time it was more meaningful and rough. "Nothing would change. But, That wont happen.." "oh.... Alright..." "You should sleep. We have school tomorrow." "Fun fun..." I tried to sound happy. He chuckled and ran his fingers across my cheek smoothly and calmly as I rested on my side.

           The next morning he drove me to school and I had a feeling everything was wrong. I stepped out of his car and it was freezing. I sighed and I knew Slither saw my uncomfortable stance. He Put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into his side. I was surprised he warm warming seeing he is always cold,that he was warm at that moment. I saw Ashlee and two other girls watching us as he walked inside. Actually Everyone was watching us. He chuckled. "What?..." "Everyone thinks i'm a creep and is jealous of you.." "Oh....Ew..." He chuckled and Tyler ran over to us. "Hey Ember." "Oh hey Tyler...Whats up?" "Nothing Really.... Where's Nat?...." Inside." "Okay...Well.." I turned to Slither and he was watching Tyler. "I'll see you later..."  I sighed and I went inside. I found Nat by the locker. "I'm so Glad we don't have a full day today." "yeah." I leaned against my locker and I saw Ashlee outside. I Saw her talking to Mr. Hork and then looked at me. I Flinched and turned away. Mr. Hork looked as if he was looking past me. I turned and ran into class. I took my seat next to Nat and Ashlee, Mr.Hork and Slither walked into class. He waved and gave me one of my favorite smiles and sat across from me. "whats wrong?.." He asked through my mind. I shook my head and sighed. After class he caught up with me and Nate as we walked toward the parking lot. "Hey guys." "Hey." "Hey sexy" Nat grinned as she watched him. I sighed as he raped his arm around my shoulder. "What's up slither?..." "Well, I am going hunting and I thought You'd wanna come." I flinched as he said that. "Alright... Your gonna make me anyway.." "No I wont... Whats Up with you today? Your not as Anxious and Alert." "Well maybe thats because Of you." Nate watched as shes slide into her car. I knew she could hear us. "What?" "Do you still like Ashlee?.." He hesitated as he watched me. "Yes..." "Did you kiss her yesterday?...." He didn't answer. "I knew it..." "Ember, I don't care about her.... I only care about you..." He pleaded touching my face. "This is why i'm like I am.... I don't trust people like you..." I Turned and  Ran into the woods. I kept running until I stopped in a small clearing. I threw my stuff down and leaned against a tree. I put my hood on and sighed taking deep breaths. This was the place I went to escape my father and stress. I was sick of people and the lies. "Ember?...." I heard Slithers Voice. "Go away.... How can i trust you when you've been with her the whole time". He sighed and turned me around. " It's not safe here...." "Indeed It's not." We both turned around to see Mr.Hork.
