![]() "Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue"A Poem by PoeT4994![]() My thoughts on gangs, told through the most classic and renound poem of them all "Roses are red, Violets are blue...".![]()
Roses are red and violets are blue.
And the two coexist, until violence ensues. Nobody ever told me why, all I knew was the two were never in the same garden. They said, well...the roses and violets, they're...just not on the same pedal. But, what no one gets is they both are beautiful, and can live perfectly together. See, no one ever told me why. All they said was blue and red don't like eachother. Why? No one, no one really knows, they just, have different life styles. But, they all are creations of God, so how can they have different life styles. See, the roses fall. As blood of teens runs down their pedals, dying them red for years and years to come. And the violets are showered on, by tears of mothers. Of fathers, sisters, and brothers. It's like they both just try to take a lawn mower over eachother. For some reason, the other one is wrong, because of their color. But...they are both the same. So, I don't get it. Roses come with thorned AK's and barrel down the violets with pesticide homocide. But the violets come just as hard. They show up with uzi's, pouring shells, and leaves, and stems, across every rose they see. I don't know why. But the garden is a warzone. The garden resembles something a little closer than we think. See, just because one is red, and one is blue, does not mean they aren't both plants. Just trying to grow. And as they extinct their brothers, I ask...why? We...we don't really know. Roses and violets just don't coexist. Blood sprays the garden as crippled stems sink like ED. Drooping as if the soil was intoxicated by their 40's. Bloods...and Crips of the garden. They don't understand. Maybe a little classical literature will pay off. Yes, roses are red, and violets are blue. But no matter what, they are all still flowers. © 2010 PoeT4994Featured Review
