This thing I do

This thing I do

A Poem by Michael
"

Another silly love poem

"

This thing I do

When I think of you

Is more than love is true,

Is more than sky is blue.

This thing I do

When moments are few

Is like the soft pastel hue

Of sunlight sparkled dew.

This thing I do

When I hope for you

Is like a vivid wide screen view

Of all the things I wish I knew.

This thing I do

When I dream of you

Fills my head with all things new

Thinking of that thing you do.

Now, this is a bit elementary-I really think you could find other rhyming schemes other than that one. But-as you say, it is silly.

Most of mine are a bit silly as well-I shouldn't judge.

Awwwwww........ this is so sweet... now let me vomit, jk... I really like this sweet silly love song.... It's rare that you find a poem that fully rhymes so it was an enjoyable read.... Aww... how i wish someone would write me a poem like this... lol... Good Job!

Awww how sweet! I really like the idea of using the same rhyme throughout the whole poem; that's really hard to do! The flow and the rhythm is quite nice and it's a very sweet sentiment. (One minor criticism however: "soft pastel hew" should be "soft pastel hue")

The big picture. That's what drives me. I have to see the big picture. And as it's displayed ever so clear, I frantically begin to write what I see. The action, the pathos, the dreams. They're all in .. more..
