Hollywood Birthday

Hollywood Birthday

A Poem by Dawn Marie Anderson
"

random observations

"

Awake how many times

You speak of the dawn

Don't let the music die

Keep the fire going

endless flame

through which they dance-

the hills still burn

and the party still

dreams the same

in the hills of hollywood

Sweet canyons under

the stars- girlie bunnies

in the pool

no fear stirs their

rebellion; don't succumb

I'm not the spy

I'm not the enemy

like they-

I'm not, I'm not

The day-

but the time

to awaken

Is now
