Just a little darlingA Poem by Plane Jade
Just a little darling,
The world beneath her feet. Just a little darling, So innocent so sweet. Just a little darling, A beautiful human to adore. Just a little darling, A daughter she had born. Just a little darling, To be treasuresd in her arms. Just a little darling, Please stop and read the future in her palms. Just another little darling, Left alone to face the world. Just another little darling, In to the rough life she was hurled. Mumma is just a baby, Daddy is all but gone. Just a little darling, Left alone to carry on. Mumma likes the drinking Daddy would not know, Both of them have been gone that long That poor little darling is alone. No wonder that little darling Makes bad choices by herself, All she's ever seen is the liquor on the shelf. The little darling grows up, With out many chances you can be sure But that won't stop the little darling She is tough and She breaks down every door. She grew up with things That would test you Stuff that scares you at night No daddy around to hold her and a mumma not clear not right But that little darling had big dreams and she was not controlled by fear She grew stronger every year. Well that little darling made mistakes but Regrets there were just few For its a hard life growing up when The only one raising you is you. The little darling went crooked But managed to do a u-turn back, she knows to learn from her mistakes and that the odds are out of whack. Now she is full grown with little darlings of her own she can't imagine anything but giving those little darlings a safe and loving home. © 2019 Plane Jade |
