No Longer

No Longer

A Poem by Jazzy

Another stream of wonderings
Passes through my mind
I never thought I'd see the day
That I had to watch from behind

The pictures my eyes portray
Drip with the unfamiliar
My thoughts in such disarray
I find it hard just to be

Your opinion matters not anymore
Even if I could hear
Your words flame on your tongue
I can no longer bear to be near

For fear of the fire
That burns me so easily
And it's sickening to see
How they brighten your face so pleasingly
