I am without.A Poem by PlacentaInspired by a recent poet on here.by the moon he whispers soft midnight sighs and by daylight he holds me tight
Oh god, he excites me
in his presence and by the thought of his green-pool eyes and the love he's sought
and he reminds me
of days much younger and kisses wrapped in soda-pop tingles and fingers snapped where love was possible in simple ways and nothing could amount to our nights and days.
His absence, hell.
I writhe at night and my head is naught where is should be, and tears are fraught and when it comes to sleep, I do not.
I am empty without I am empty without. I am empty without. © 2011 Placenta |
