[untitled]A Poem by PlacentaA poem I wrote about my Buddhist beliefs. People tend to criticize me on this quite often because I'm nowhere near Asian or of Asain decent.I hold my hands high in the air And pray to something that might not be there Mutter the words of ancient root Of a man with nails in hand and foot. Do I believe in the being in the sky? Do I praise His name on high? Do I cherish Him? No, not I.
I believe in something deeper than faith To do more with love, Never with hate. An energy, a spirit within us all. A breeze of the wind The mockingbird's call. The pearly gates hold no place for me, I will be reborn when the time comes to be. Heaven, no But something more. Another life, another time, Another open door. © 2009 PlacentaAuthor's Note
