Mothers Intervention

Mothers Intervention

A Poem by Placenta
"

I just recently moved into my grandparents house after living with my mother. She was an alcoholic and very addicted to meth. This was written after her intervention

"

I can't think
It's hard to breathe
I can't talk
You're staring at me
Don't want to listen
This can't be real
Don't want to love,
Don't want to feel
The clock strikes one
It's time to go
Like a child,
You tell her No
"it's not her fault
You did it yourself
She's not like you
You're going to hell"
I walk in her room
It stinks like death
I stare at the wall
And hold my breath
She yells and shouts
"WHO TOLD YOU THIS?"
She smells like booze
And Meth's sweet kiss.

They take her now,
Take her away
Maybe she'll get better
One final day.
Or maybe she'll stay
The way she is
Maybe she'll never
Get over this

Wow....
I loved how every line was 3-5 words, and every word held so much passion behind it.
You and I have had the same kind of fate with parents, but it is so wonderful that you can write such vivid poems of your experiences.

"Don't want to listen
This can't be real
Don't want to love,
Don't want to feel"

So, so true.
Beautiful write ;)
