PhoenixA Poem by Phillip J ClaytonTime stands still... cold breath arrives, what was once welcoming, withers and dies, A dreaded calm beckons, spawns in darkness, growing from within, tearing at my mind.
Die today, fight with god! chocked on blood, do not mourn for me, candles burning away, weep not at my grave bid me farewell, I die in peace.
...I fight with god...
A kiss says goodbye, holding time in my arms, Heading towards the hell we made...
The waters are now red forgotten words - a memory dead, kneeling before a cross, my eyes stained, let them take me, away with bad dreams I feel nothing.... As life fades - welcome a rising end. © 2022 Phillip J Clayton |
