Verses, prophecies and curses...

Verses, prophecies and curses...

A Poem by Phillip J Clayton

Prophecies speak loudly for all to hear,

verses for the sheep to read...

curses for all to bear.

Tongues speak to the multitudes,

all hear..are you listening?

On this rock I stand, come to me!

Pledge yourself to no one,

belief can be disappointing.

Soft words caress my ear,

speaking anger and hate...come come,

come here...

it was not what you whispered,

why did you have to linger?

Leave me be demon,

your fingers are too sweet for my soul,

I don't mind you reaching, that's just too far.

Sssshh he can hear us...

quiet,  we must be careful,

they must not know.

In ash we make a pact,

seethed of purity...promises we made,

deception breathes here,

I smell fear...the ingrates they are,

Pompous b******s.

Their ignorance keeps them safe,

controlled by the crowns,

the worms are contagious,

let the birds eat them.

Lions feed on the living,

the vultures will eat the remains and so on it will be.

Lets watch chaos claw them away....

In the professional space, I am almost a diety... I say that with the greatest of humility. In my personal life I am frail and a primitive man... Self-actualization is not all it's cracked up to be. .. more..
