Prologue

A Chapter by Pisceslies

Let me tell you a story. A story about a girl. This girl wasn't a heroine. She wasn't a leader, and she wasn't brave. In fact, She was the type of girl who would go with the flow. Never raising her voice because she didn't want to cause trouble, or draw attention to herself. She wasn't pretty, or popular. She went through the world... completely unnoticed.
That is, until she met you. For the first time in her life, someone not only heard her, but listened. You didn't just see her,  you were aware of her. Her soul, her mind, her heart, and her body, you knew them all. You made her feel important. Because of this, she made the biggest mistake in her life. The best mistake.
Now, 'mistake' is not the right word. No, 'mistake' implies that there was a decision. She most certainly did not decide any of this. She was overtaken. Blindsided. Captured. She fell. She fell so hard and so fast. She fell in love. For the first time, she finally knew what it meant to love. She had never had a full concept of that word before.
Suddenly, everything that was important to you became important to her. She loved your family, your friends, even that stupid little house with three bedrooms tiny enough for mice. She loved your idiosyncrasies, your pet peeves, your quirks. She fell in love with all the little things you cared about. You told her over and over that you cared about her.
You made her love herself.
I will tell you her story.   This letter will be a gateway into her past. The good things, the bad, the goodbyes, and the hellos. Maybe one day you will see what you did, by simply noticing.
