Illuminated

A Poem by B

A glowing image of you
Stillness many a night
Saved kindle a thought
Mundane a given day
Lonely heart of this voice
Shaded in tranquil blue
You sit by a shadow of life
Counting the ripples of a wave
Aging rejoice once loved escapades
Mindful of a nimble star
Once stood stage of light
Rendered obsolete
Lady moon sparkled sigh
As she lays a wish softly placed
For feet could ride the night
Carrying bells of gratitude
As she heals him through

I love all forms of waves I have an infatuation with them:) this has a very dreamy quality to it! I likes it:) I was listening to a chopin nocturne while reading this and it lent itself to your lines

hmmmmmmmmm wistful and dream like ... riding the night ... let that ol' moon sparkle sigh my blues away says i! i love your powerful wisdom in closing .. nothing like gratitude to balm the pain and hurt .. gratitude and service to others .. a knock out left and then a right .. to self pity and bitter blaming .. L 5 - 8 such a scene they set .. ... the unique perspective of your speaker talking to loneliness as if another person ..kind of captivating for me ... read this several times .. each time better but always especially drawn to those lines mentioned ... and in the end ... the healing is for "him" ... not the speaker .. wonderful complex poem ... embedded in emotions and wisdom .. really like it Lingering! thanks so much for sharing!

Thank you E
In that "shadow of life," we see a flicker of hope for love, despite our history and age. It's hope and ultimately love that make us glow. Your words are a beautiful splash of warm colors that make the best art.... and poem. A truly enjoyable read.

Thank you Andrew
it is never too late to find love...to find the moon for our sun, to find a matching star that gives us strength and light to go on...to face older age with a smile and a healed heart.
