I like how this set of images relays to your metaphors so smoothly, I think of the running water as the application of love... keeping the flow in current staving the stasis of freezing and allowing the expressions movements. this is what the poem made me feel anywho I could "of course" be way off base here:)
I enjoy your poem, even tho I'm not familiar with cold icy climes (a California wimp, when it comes to cold). Your poem feels like random brush strokes, touching on ideas that could describe a barren ice-scape or a more fulsome ice-encrusted city-scape. I'm cold now! Thanks for transporting me to your icy realm (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
a painting as the image for reflection of passion...similar colors, feelings, sounds.
i like the progression here....from trying to break through a cold exterior, to the slow melting...
to the aftermath...even a comfortable soft blue intimates more passion or the blue feeling of it being over almost immediately after the physical attraction wanes.
love the brief lines...adds to the effect...and maybe theme as well.

is the poem from the pic or visa versa? ... the title is a hook for me .. translucence is incredibly mysterious and ever moving in my mind .. i like the sharp short lines .. each spontaneous to the next it seems .. a mwavelous thing to set the stage so well in opening lines .. then layer them to love .. and a somewhat grounded teal blue closing... love the pic .. reminds me of Ken's work ..abstract .. emotive and colorful ;)
