Shadowed KissA Poem by BFor true love only shored As a moment driven to bay A silent song would play Deepened by unknown wounds He holds her rippled hair Learning of a stare Counted days of some solemn years She would call out the night Of widowed ropes of life Hanging floral boundaries Passed through dreams Shading a kindred soul If meant by other chances Something alive within Would remind him of her The longest walk across their shores As midnight moon dips into an ocean Days would rise in golden light Hopes would look in clear sight If eyes could kiss In shadowed falls
