Narcissus

Narcissus

A Poem by B

Image result for narcissus image

Branches blew a pink voiceless wish
Narcisseae swaying with soft aurora air

Embelish hefty embodier this lover's life
Wearing patrician crowns of youthful dew

Eyes twinkle a distance to words sedulously spoken
Secludes away the breezy reclusive bush

Fragrant surroundings by her ellipse
Soul bracelet to breathless short exhale

Buds of delicacy took on an angle
Staring at the river of fiery joy

Ways to euphoric heaves

In Greek mythology, Narcissus was a hunter from Thespiae in Boeotia who was known for his beauty. I found this piece light, stylish and wonderfully creative - you certainly captured the imagery of the subject matter in an exciting manner!

Thank you so much Phill
The final line sets the entire poem akimbo. Very interesting collision with the end.

Thank you for your review
Amazing how such a diminutive flower commands so much attention and adulation!

Fulfilling in every aspect!

I have learned a few words here, and wow, they are delectable ones... You write with a cascading flow that twinkles on the breeze of a reclusive wheeze... Absolutely breath-taking work.... Beautifully penned...

Is the flower striking a pose. Come to me.
The river flowing by, gives only a short time to bloom.

oh my ... Venus, Cupid and Suadela would be far too unworthy to caress such a flower ... your poem lulls me into a dream but that closing feels so primeval ...deep guttural moans enticed ... wowy wow wow! ;) so creative my friend ..strikes home on many levels ...into me library it goes ma'am

Hum, again your words both calm and please me. Your poetry paints such beautiful pictures and I of course love the last line of "euphoric heaves." :)

Well Done

i wonder if those water flowers look at their reflection in a lake or pond...see the glassy image and admire their own beauty...
