BareA Poem by B
Beneath layers of transparent material
Lies a being beating for this life Thinking of those dreams No sun could break its form Sometimes in tender smiles This familiar feeling would pass by Beneath attempts at a cover The lantern within lights up the dark Through moments of pain scars reside Tranquil soul sit tightly for another day to pass Beneath the face exists an inner child Walking through the trees roaming free So make me laugh if not for seconds As the being within longs to fly another time Swinging through the distant cloud Drawing circles on the sand Opening up a chest of innocent secrets Looking at the world in bright stars Seeing the beauty that often resides Calm is this world existing on the veins of a leaf Calling out for nature to wake As trees ruffle disposing of yesterday's sorrow Looking out into a beautiful place Layers dropped to the floor
