On your lips - this one is for you darlingA Poem by B"A Dream within a Dream" - Edgar Allan Poe - and my wordsTake this kiss upon the brow! And, in parting from you now, Thus much let me avow " You are not wrong, who deem That my days have been a dream; Yet if hope has flown away In a night, or in a day, In a vision, or in none, Is it therefore the less gone? All that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream. Edgar Allan Poe - 1850 I saw promises beyond dreamed Upon seconds of the seamless night. As the tides of your guitar sang On those lips well keeping. Prevent what might have been too was said It is you that the heart embers for. Inside my mind are words of your spell Enchanting my being into quiet solitude. Standing in your shade as the sky breaks Ranges of too many found within. Torment the soul in silence as you are Near me is the dream within the sky. Ship my head to the Atlantic ocean For all i see in a moment of your glare. Bright as the mourning of all my days You remain the dreaming sea. Some lived for the essence of doing light Clearly it is you in all. © 2017 BAuthor's NoteReviews
