Zombie Love Never Dies

Zombie Love Never Dies

A Poem by The Pirate Zombie
"

A love that never dies. They survive through the hard times no matter what.

"

Take me by the hand my friend

Grab me by the throat again.

Act the same

But everything's changed

Drag me down our memory lane.

Our last kiss could make me SICK

But one more shot should do the trick.

Lips of poison

And a heart heavy with hate

Brings us back to our zombie fate.

Roam the streets and think of me

Rotten flesh that cannot bleed

A pulsing body that does not breath

Gouged out eyes that will not see

..just how you became the death of me.

Above the hilltop a full moon's rise

Shatters with the creatures cries.

Trapped in a body bondaged and cursed

Where a soul once lived

And death was worse.

Now but a corpse, posessed by death

We feed upon the inocents breath.

And by dusk the dead shall wake

Soul by soul is how we take.

Is this revenge

Or just a spell?

Dead or alive

They cannot tell.

We have hearts that do not beat

Too bittin from cold and boiled by heat

And with no pulse we rule the night

In search of ones bloody delight.

Only the break of light can tell

When we return to our six foot hell.

So until then, we shall feast

Upon the scent of mortal meat.

We are the cursed, the trapped, the living dead

Just don't shoot us in the head.

Being a lover of zombies above all other ghouls I must say that I completely adore this piece. It was fantastic! I love your descriptions and the rhyming scheme was top notch. Very clever!
