One

A Story by Joan Thomas
"

we are one

"

I am not sure if this is a story or a poem, mythical, supernatural or occult. I am not quite sure what kind of label to give this. It is more how I feel. How else do I write?

We are all one. Black, white, red, green, orange, green, man, woman, child, Buddha, Jesus, so on and so forth.  When it comes down to it. There is, or should be one love, one God, and we should strive to reach a higher spiritual plane. As one.

Not easy is it?  Not when you are human.  When I am told I am not a spiritual being, or what I did, was very unenlightened, I reply, "I am still on this plane".  When I no longer make mistakes, I will no longer walk this earth.  Without mistakes, errors, how do we get to our higher selves? Isn't that part of personal growth?  It is for me. We all err, we are all human, I hope we all strive to grow.

I believe we are all trying to get to one place, just take different routes to get there. One may take an elevator, one may climb a mountain, one may use an escalator, one my jog.  Who cares how you get there, just get there, if  you can, and you can.

Marley said it best right? One love.  I believe in coexisting, I believe Love is the answer to everything. I believe love heals illness, I believe Love is God and God is love.  I believe I have much growing to do, and am not as enlightened as I'd like to be.  I also believe I try daily to be better today than I was yesterday.  I wish everyone would.
