Father Time

Father Time

A Poem by Ethan Castner

sprinkle sprinkle father time
sprinkle slowly the sands of time
always watching people grow
and always watching people go
he also watches other things too
and he noticed what only humans do
this endless sand that he holds
gently glitters, glitters gold
humans seem to want to hurry
which always makes there memories blurry
time is precious,time is great
so please don't hurry place to place
father father father time
listen listen to this rhyme
drums beating there tumble cadence
Dancers dancing with such great radiance
all comes together
all comes in line
all will see the timeless rhyme
so listen listen father time
listen carefully to this rhyme
shut your eyes and calmly breath
finally finally you can sleep

Sprinkle, sprinkle sandman, I have a question though..was this poem written the same time as sleeping pills were taken? I was just wondering.....:)

It is important for us to remember to step back and slow down - appreciate the beauty and little things we so often miss...
Nice work with this.

I like it, but for me I like it when time hurry's up. But life is to short so we should try and slow down once in a while.
