Enigma

Its been on my mind for a while.

what happened to me i cant really say
tell me please why my feelings are so far away
my mind;an enigma
my emotions are too
please tell me someone
what i should do
i don't feel anything
no, nothing at all
i try and i try but cant make my tears fall
so i fake the emotion....to try to fit in
please oh please mind....just please let me back in
i want to know what made me this way
so i can smile and laugh and to finally cry
i want to truly tell you all that i am just fine
but something is locked
deep down inside the bottom of me
i just cant get out
i just cant truly be me

Nice.
Really. Truly, I mean it. It's heartwrenching. There's something you can't reach, can't grasp... something so important, but evasive nonetheless.
I'm a very emotional person, but never ever around anyone else. I keep my feelings locked up until I'm alone, and then let it out and think things over. It doesn't always help, but i'm a rock - a shoulder for other people to cry on and a helping hand for those who ask. I don't get to be weak. But it's not like that's a decision i made. It's just who i am. I'm the strong one, you know? Eldest sibling, most mature mate, teacher's helping hand, parents reliable child... It's who i am. Crying alone is part of the package.
I love your poem. Thought-provoking at the very least.

This is so true for one of my friends! Her name is Cheyenne and she told me that showing emotion is hard for her!
