Exphoria

Exphoria

A Poem by Pinnochio
"

A poem about a lost love; finding yourself but regretting not being able to do so sooner.

"

If my sins had a smell, would you sit near me?
I Wouldn't.
The tangy odour of deceit
A concoction of broken promises
The web of lies

A stench that embeds itself in ones skin
Needs more than a fix of TLC
Sorrow is my PLC
Yet it bothers you none

Through the shadow of my heart you see my smile
You feel my delicate underbelly
I am not a stain
I am more

Convinced of my plight
Stern in my self-pity
She only asks for your liaison
How did you let it slip?

Today I stare in the glass
The reflection ruminates
The odour now translucent in shape

But now I'm lost
Only in the past I can go back

Where she sits with me once again.

It is very difficult to "move on" quickly after a lost relationship.... so I can relate to being lost...and not knowing how to...or what to....many times when this happens we are lost for too long, stagnant...time almost stops...we pity ourselves for not acting sooner...i like the way you crafted this piece...showing the depths of your hurt.....
