Palm Tree

Palm Tree

A Poem by Pinnochio
"

Interpret however you see fit.

"

Sticking to a theme instead of writing what comes to mind
I'd simply put pen to paper and let the thoughts flow fully
Having an idea to think to is unnatural and code breaking
Let me write as though I am indeed free

Voyage to the caverness depths of everything
Float above the shallow reality of living
Shackled by
Oh, the cream of this doughnut is filling

Dark but bright
Light but grey
A locus you can fight
The creatures you make

Rules apply none
The quivering heart of structure can be heard reverberating in the streams
It lives as the space outside
You, You and the dream

Once i sheath my pen once more I return to creation
Leaving the unknown vaccuos space between full stop and
Super S's and fantasy live here, die here
What I would do to make it permanent

Now I look back to the desk
Figures and documents demand their time
High heels and ties connect the dots
The lights are on but no spark or shine

This is how you make it they say
But dont take the brie
Things would be just okay
If you were a Palm Tree.

Indeed there are many days that life can be difficult and overwhelming by the choices we make in the immediacy of any given moment. It's times like that I wish I were a palm tree. Thank you for sharing this poem with us.
