Woe is Love

Woe is Love

A Poem by teloelogyofdeath
"

...

"

The stars glinter and the lightbulbs flash

so slowly do we dance

moving together under the wooden roof of the hope house

you reel me in then throw me out

I don't really understand why

am I wrong?

I held you close and saved your life

I told you secrets and nothingness

we laughed and cryed

together

and now as I stand on the edge myself

all you do is walk away

not a word to carry onwards,

to drift and scream through the sky

save me

take this charm I gave to you and destroy my heart with it

because while you wait for the next train to pass through

I die a little inside

take my words I whispered to you

take the lullabies I sang so soflty with soul

and hurt them, abuse them, all while thinking my name

this really makes no sense, why me?

I felt your heartbeat in the rain

ran the pace all the way to hurricane creek

just to hide your secrets, in gritty sand

I should never have believed it

when you came around, there starts the pulsing;

of one lonesome broken heart

and I will remain here, waiting for you.

Take your time too

i'm quiet happy smiling at the clouds.
