City LightsA Poem by teloelogyofdeath...She doesn't know what she's missing She knows there's going to be a fall Of a city so bright and tall No one is actually there at all The crowded empty spaces of inbetween light Shrouded in mist and mystery is right An eye to see the world crumble and crack It leaches out to grab a hold of something worth living for When parting dust makes it's self known Terror and falling through the sky accur She held the power so safe and warm While really it dissapered of being so lonely, desperate, lost and cold A tower so high may not help things Just standing there And mocking us all Or maybe just my brain cells It tells the tales of better weather And smiles For this side of the picture is the escape route To bad we're already here And want to go back To peaceful slumbers of snoring bears that lay on balloons And flowers that crisp and fall apart when touched and angels that weep nothing but dust and lions who love to make escape to nowhere, impossible and who love to arise dinosaurs and bring back sad memories of someone you can't have and monsters with arrows that hide under your bed and bad parenting who always lie and cockaroaches and beds and green grass and lying cakes and dead things and winged creatures who swoop down to kill you and your hopes and dreams and nailpolish and make you hide in places not seen who also bring back memories of dreams that should not be seen and lost and had and dreamt and wept and there's always something under that bed and down the stairs and on the floor and just a little way through that door and nightmares and dreamscapes are what I need for maybe just maybe the green eggs and ham and the stop and go signs just won't save me this time.
